Artist statement:
 "AR Nightlight #1" reimagined children's aquarium light with a modern focus on the largest topic surrounding a child's well-being today- gun violence and school shootings. This rotating lamp shows floating images of assault rifles over photographs of the locations of the most deadly school shootings to date. A nonviolent, almost calming color palette is used to symbolize how normal we have made these situations and how desensitized children today are to the idea of a possible school shooting. This piece accompanied an essay and also is the first edition of a larger series.
